About the workshop
This CFD group at FOSSEE, IIT Bombay aims to promote the use of free/libre and open source CFD toolbox OpenFOAM (Free/Libre and Open source Field Operation and Manipulation), which is a replacement for commercial packages like Fluent and Star CCM.
We are conducting a one day workshop on 22nd March, 2014. The workshop will be useful to both new users and existing users wishing to broaden their basic knowledge of OpenFOAM.

Prerequisites for the workshop.
This workshop will be beneficial for final and pre-final year students of Mechanical, Production, Civil and Chemical Engineering. Other interested members and research groups may also attend/participate.
You will be provided with OpenFOAM Live DVD to use the software at the venue. However, we recommend you to have OpenFOAM installed on your laptops before attending the workshop.

The FOSSEE project undertaken by IIT Bombay is funded by Ministry of Human Resource Development(Govt. of India) under National Mission on Education through ICT. The essence of Human Resource Development is education, which plays a significant and remedial role in balancing the socio-economic fabric of the Country. Since citizens of India are its most valuable resource, our billion-strong nation needs the nurture and care in the form of basic education to achieve a better quality of life.
FOSSEE project is part of the National Mission on Education through ICT with the thrust area being 'Adaptation' and deployment of free/libre and open source simulation packages equivalent to proprietary software, funded by MHRD, based at the Indian Institute of Technology Bombay (IITB).
