I am deeply grateful to FOSSEE for selecting me for the Summer Fellowship Program 2025, which has been an enriching experience that significantly enhanced my understanding of computational fluid dynamics through OpenFOAM. The fellowship was exceptionally well-organised with weekly meetings, as these regular sessions with the supervising professor allowed us to discuss progress, address challenges, and plan upcoming work effectively, ensuring I could complete my internship objectives within the stipulated timeframe. One of the program's greatest strengths was the mentor assignment system, where having a dedicated mentor was invaluable, particularly during the initial phases when navigating OpenFOAM's complex interface and functionalities felt overwhelming. Learning that my internship work will be featured as a case study project on the FOSSEE platform is incredibly motivating, as this recognition not only validates the effort I invested but also serves as a strong incentive to continue my exploration of OpenFOAM and computational fluid dynamics, knowing that my work might help future learners navigate similar challenges and adds meaningful purpose to the entire experience.
