Mr. Alok Nikhade

Alok embarked on his career as a Programming Instructor while pursuing his Master's in Hydro and Renewable Energy at IIT Roorkee in 2014. He simultaneously shared his expertise in mini-hydropower systems with postgraduate students at Lovely Professional University, Punjab, while
teaching Foundation Engineering to undergraduates. Prior to joining Ecofrost Technologies in 2015, he gained valuable experience through internships in Bengaluru, focusing on computational fluid dynamics and heat transfer. At Ecofrost Technologies (an Ecozen company), Alok spearheaded the development of a solar micro cold storage utilizing vapor compression refrigeration and thermal energy storage. Working closely with a team of engineers and agricultural scientists, he successfully addressed on-farm challenges, resulting in a scalable and serviceable product with over 1200 units deployed across India, Southeast Asia, and Africa.

Currently, Alok leads the R&D team at Ecozen, focusing on new product development and thermalen gineering research to enhance post-harvest quality and cold chain packaging for perishable produce. He leverages both commercial and open-source solutions for FEA and CFD to address technical challenges.
Alok holds two technology patent applications, with one granted, for innovative cold thermal energy storage solutions integrated into new product development. He holds interests in heat exchangers, refrigeration technologies, electronic cooling and phase change materials.
