Mr. Chakraborty has a B.Eng in Power Engineering from Jadavpur University, followed by an M.Tech in Ocean Engineering and Naval Architecture from IIT Kharagpur, and an M.S. (by Research) in Mechanical Engineering (Thermal) from IIT Madras.
He has previously been a S.N. Bose scholar at Texas A&M University (2017) and a VSRP fellow at the Clean Combustion Research Group at KAUST, Saudi Arabia (2021). He has received internship awards from the Indian Academy of Science (IAS) at IISc, IIT Madras, and IIT Gandhinagar. In 2022, he was honored with the Indian National Academy of Engineering (INAE) Innovative Project Award by the Department of Science and Technology (DST), Government of India, a prestigious accolade given to only eight individuals nationwide and the sole recipient from IIT Madras and West Bengal.
Additionally, Mr. Chakraborty has worked as a simulation engineer at Emerson Process Management, a Fortune 500 company, and as a fluid mechanics consultant at AnalyticsPlus Inc. He has authored seven journal articles, 30 conference papers, and five book chapters. Arnab also serves as a reviewer for esteemed journals such as Physics of Fluids, Atomization and Sprays, and IMechE: Part A, C, and M, as well as for conferences including FMFP, ASME Gas Turbine India (GT India), and ASME
