FOSSEE, IIT Bombay, invites all CFD enthusiasts, students, faculty and professionals to join the online workshop 'Academic Foundations to Industrial Applications' during 3-6 Nov 2026. The workshop will offer lecture sessions from the academia as well as industry professionals to provide a holistic knowledge encompassing diverse domains of CFD. The workshop will have hands-on training sessions to demonstrate how OpenFOAM could be applied to the diverse domains of CFD.

FOSSEE, IIT Bombay, is organising an '

FOSSEE along with the Mechanical Dept., of IIT Bombay, had organised a one workshop on CFD and OpenFOAM on 1st May 2026.  42 students from across all the departments of IIT Bombay attended this workshop. They have been introduced to OpenFOAM from the basics (including the installation)  through hands-on sessions and demonstrations. The students have been given an assignment after the workshop so that they feel confident about what they have learnt during the workshop. After the workshop the students felt confident about applying OpenFOAM in their CFD projects. 

A Faculty Development Program on Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) using OpenFOAM will be offered by FOSSEE, IIT Bombay, in an online mode from 2-5 June 2026. This program is designed to introduce OpenFOAM for CFD from the basics. It will offer lecture and hands-on sessions aiming at the skill development of the faculty members who work in the CFD field. Registration is free for this training program. Registered participants will be awarded certificates upon the fulfillment of the attendance criteria set by FOSSEE, IIT Bombay.
