Testimonial by Mr. Rajdeep Adak

I joined FOSSEE in 2021 as an intern. I was deeply inspired by FOSSEE's vision to develop free and open-source equivalents to industrial scientific software. FOSSEE is managed by the renowned faculty of IIT Bombay, who make this endeavor possible. At FOSSEE, I worked with Prof. J. S. Murallidharan and Prof. Prabhu Ramachandran, and developed software for fluid dynamics simulation. The exposure to fluid mechanics helped me discover an interest in the broader field of Dynamical Systems. Today, I’m proud to be starting a PhD at Arizona State University in the same field, tackling complex control problems in high-precision polymer manufacturing. FOSSEE has been instrumental in enabling me to reach the doorstep of a PhD. My research journey started at FOSSEE, and I still continue to assist the CFD-FOSSEE team. FOSSEE offers an excellent environment for students to explore research and take ownership of their work - which I believe is paramount towards building a successful career in both industry and academia.
