The first time I started using OpenFOAM is not very back in the past. Before, I used to use ANSYS for my needs. It was hard to start learning OpenFOAM in the beginning. I slowly made progress by watching YouTube, spoken tutorials and some other documents available online. But once you learn OpenFOAM, you usually don't like anything else. It is more detailed and conceptual than any other CFD software. If anyone is hoping to skyrocket their carrier in CFD, then OpenFOAM is the best choice. We ordinarily do not find people working on OpenFOAM, especially in India. It is the FOSSEE that has taken a step forward to spread the name of this FOSS among the young minds of India. FOSSEE conducts a summer internship every year where talents from all over India come together and work together. The best thing about this internship is that candidates are chosen based on their capabilities, not GPA or college.
